Richard Gaunt has been Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in civil Trial Law since 1985. He also holds Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating of AV. Mr. Gaunt graduated from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee with a degree in Economics in 1973, and graduated from Stetson University College of law in 1976. Before joining Williams, Leininger & Cosby, P.A. in 2010, Mr. Gaunt was the senior partner in Gaunt, Pratt, Radford, Methe, and Rockenbach, P.A. for over twenty years. He has extensive trial experience, having tried over one hundred civil jury trials to verdict throughout South Florida. His jury trials include over fifty premises liability cases. Mr. Gaunt defends serious injury and wrongful death cases for insurance companies and self-insured’s. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
